Andrew’s 2nd Birthday Clambake!
This summer, we hosted our first annual clambake to celebrate Andrew’s 2nd Birthday!
The day was everything a two-year-old’s birthday should be, full of kids, swimming, laughter, cake and so much love for our boy. It was a massive success and more special than we could have imagined. Family, friends and our incredible West Falmouth community came together to celebrate Andrew and learn more about Rise for Rew and the organizations we are so proud to support.
We were especially grateful to have members of Sad Dads Club there to celebrate Andrew, along with the Shaw Family, founders of The Green House and our newest grantee. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was creating a space where other bereaved families could celebrate, honor and speak about their own children alongside Andrew. Hearing their names and stories woven into his birthday made the celebration feel like something bigger than our own family.
Andrew’s Birthday Clambake is a day to celebrate our boy, bring people together and make sure his birthday is always filled with life, love and joy. We are so grateful to everyone who made the first one so special, and we cannot wait to do it all again next summer.
Andrew Sullivan Rising Sun Award 2026
The Harbor Head Tennis Club has always been a special place to Christina’s family. Both Christina and Connor grew up playing tennis, and Christina spent her summers on the courts at HHTC in West Falmouth, MA. In 2025, the club created the Andrew Sullivan Rising Sun Award to honor Rew Rew.
It is is awarded each summer by the head coach, Mykala Seitz, to a junior player who is “on the rise,” showing growth, dedication, and a love for the game. It is a sweet way to carry Andrew’s memory forward each summer in a place that is so meaningful.
This year’s Rising Sun Award was presented to Caroline Berberian by Andrew’s parents, Christina and Connor, and his little sister, Henley. We are so proud to have Caroline help carry Andrew’s light forward as this year’s Rising Sun.
2nd Annual Rise for Rew Paddle Tournament
On February 22, 2026, the Rise for Rew Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Rise for Rew Paddle Tournament at Woodway Country Club in Darien, CT. Despite a winter blizzard, an incredible community of friends and supporters came together to compete for the Sun Cup in memory of Andrew Henley Sullivan. The day was filled with meaningful moments, culminating in an unforgettable final match where Andrew’s dad and Uncle Sam took home the win! We are so grateful to everyone who played, cheered, volunteered, and supported Rise for Rew while honoring our sweet boy
Andrew Sullivan Rising Sun Award 2025
The Harbor Head Tennis Club is a special place to Christina’s family. Both Christina and Connor grew up as avid tennis players, and for Christina, every summer was spent on the courts at HHTC. In 2025, the club established a deeply meaningful tribute to their son, Andrew, by creating an annual award in his honor.
The award is presented by the coach to the junior player who demonstrates the most improvement in his or her tennis skills over the course of the summer. It is given in memory of Andrew Sullivan, by his parents, Christina & Connor Sullivan.
This recognition is especially meaningful because it celebrates perseverance, growth, and the joy of learning — qualities at the heart of Andrew’s legacy. Each summer, a new recipient will carry forward his memory, serving as a reminder that progress and passion, both on and off the court, can leave a lasting impact.
This year’s recipient, Nicky Chamberlain, was presented by Andrew’s aunts and grandmother, Ella, Hayley and Astrid Womble, along with HHTC coach, Mykala Seitz.
The Great Saunter
On May 4, 2025, Rise for Rew took on The Great Saunter, a 32-mile walk around the perimeter of Manhattan to honor the life of Andrew Henley Sullivan and raise awareness for SIDS. The day began with 30 people rising for Rew at the starting line, more than 50 participants joined the walk in Andrew’s memory, and 18 walkers completed all 32 miles. What started as a $5,000 goal turned into a remarkable achievement, with the Foundation raising over $33,000 to support SIDS research and bereavement care.
1st Annual Rise for Rew Paddle Tournament
On January 14, 2025, the Rise for Rew Foundation hosted the 1st Annual Rise for Rew Paddle Tournament at Woodway Country Club in Darien, CT. The event brought together an incredible community of supporters, with over 130 attendees and 42 teams competing for the Sun Cup in memory of Andrew Henley Sullivan. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of players, spectators, and sponsors, the tournament raised over $17,000 to support SIDS research, bereavement resources, and the continued mission of the Rise for Rew Foundation.
